Elon Musk Announces He Will Drop the Lawsuit Against OpenAI

OpenAI, the creators of Chatgpt and Sora, had been recently sued by co-founder Elon Musk, current CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.

Chatgpt was once a free accessible software for anyone to use. However, due to the creation of powerful AI like Dalle 3 and GPT 4, it has been a paid subscription to experience the software in its entirety.

With its ridiculous price of 20 dollars a month, many users have been frustrated by the company's decision.

Musk claims that Sam Altman, the current CEO of OpenAI, is not following the motto of OpenAI, to benefit humans due to their desires for profit.

After the lawsuit was announced, OpenAI tweeted of X (formally Twitter), that they would be discussing this matter with Elon, and they are following their past motto to the best of their ability.

However, Elon responded tweeting that he would drop the lawsuit if OpenAI renamed itself to ClosedAI.

He followed this tweet by posting a photoshopped picture of Sam Altman holding a phone that read “ClosedAI”.

Musk’s humorous approach to this conflict resulted in over 32 million views on his tweets, and large global attention.
